Joint Supplement

Ready, I own a 21 year old QH that was a racehorse in his earlier days. I'm sure he was on the track and racing when he was 2. Needless to say, he was stiff and walked slow and never wanted to go faster than a slow walk when we rode. For a number of reasons, I had not ridden him in a year and I wanted to get him healthy before I started riding again. I asked around and got a recommendation from someone that I trust and started using it. After about 30 days of the supplement, I figured he was ready to ride. I have never seen such an improvement in a horse! I got on him and this horse pricked his ears and held his head up high and wanted to GO! He pranced and he trotted and he loved every minute of it! He wanted to run which is unusual since (in the past) I've had to force him to just trot!Plus, he now runs and plays in the pasture with the other horses. He never ran and played before now! I highly recommend this stuff. It's called Senior Flex made by a company called Med-Vet. You can only order it on the web but a lot of different companies carry it. I do believe it's for an older horse however so you might want to see if they have something for a younger horse if your horse isn't very old. Like One said, everyone has their favorite supplement, but I will swear by this one! Good luck!

send a note to "clydedriver" - he sells DAC (Direct Action) products and I am sure can give you some insight. He has some customers that have had great success using them for different situations. Good Luck!

Ready, What I have learned about joint supplements is that they have different formulae and what may work well for some horses may be less effective on others. I have found that a product by U.S. Animal Nutritionals called Joint Discovery has worked wonders for my 18 year old horse (quarterhorse) and would suggest you look into it. He's never stiff, capable of long rides, and the 'spring' in his gaits has returned. You can access their web site, read about their product lines at: www.usanimalnutritionals.com FYI: I have no affiliation with the company, Several of my friends use Joint Discovery and have reported pleasing results. Prior to using it, I was using a Chondrycite.

I am trying to research Joint supplements to find out which one is the best one for my horse. Also, which is better to use liquid, powder, or granules? Any help on this matter will be appreciated. Thanks
