Thanks for the suggestions for the horses. What about MEE tho?? lol.. that was the main question..BUT I only have 1 1/3 of a mane and 2 tails to go after using a silicone product on them today, and LOTS of plain ole splitting matts and pulling. :) I only lost some of one appy's mane, but it's actually a better look for him, as it turns out. THANKS again!

HEY, I have a line of horse hair care products and I would love to send anyone here a free sample! It really does work great and its not super expensive either. Check it out and just put ES in the subj of the feedback page. www.henhousehair.com Thanks Lindsay

Cowboy Magic Detangling Lotion!!!!!!! It is a clear gel and a little goes a LOOOONG ways! I absolutely swear by the stuff and use it for dogs too. Rub it into the burred area and then start pulling it apart. IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!

1957: When I remove burrs from my dogs or horses, I use only, and only the finger tips....thumb and forefinger on one hand to hold and gently pull and the thumb and forefinger on the other hand to loose the hair from the burr....I take hold of the hair on the skin side.... My preference of all of the products I have used for this is Healthy Hair. It is a concentrate, and the company has a whole line of hair care products.. The product will help prevent the entanglement of the burrs to a great extent. Also if the manes and tails have any length to them braid them and tape with masking tape. this will help to prevent the manes and tales from picking up so many burrs. Good Luck, Margaret

So far the suggestions have been, for the horses: 1. Any good silicone based product 2. WD-40 3. PAM spray oil I haven't tried any of those yet, (ask me tomorrow which ones pass the "test") but what I REALLY would love would be any proven ways to keep the lil invisible flakes off the burrs from imbedding themselves into my skin as I pull them. Or ways to remove the lil stinkers (other than using tweezers) from my skin once they have imbedded. I've tried wearing up to 3 layers of clothing and gloves, but even that has not been as successful as I'd hoped. This is my first time having to deal with burrs at this magnitude~~~ please ...HELP!!! Thanks~~~Kim
