Typical hot summer night at Dakotas Lounge.... Fireflies in a nearby field like a shorted out fencer... The sky lights up with lightning flashes in the night sky but no thunder... heat lightning... no rain tonight folks... The parking lot is empty.. but ya never know who might be hanging around ... "Dakota's Lounge"..
Walking toward the door.. the neon sign shines like a beacon in the dark... Well, even if no one is there.. least I will stop for awhile.. put a few dollars in the ole jukebox, shoot a game of pool by myself..
Lounge is empty now.. but you can see that Cloudy has been here.. as well as Jagabar, Willowbreezz, Rodeofun and Lilcimba... Dang it! why can't we come in here when someone is here?
One of these days we are gonna have to put up a chalk board with our ETA?s ... I miss chewing the fat with my old friends... and yes, I do mean FRIENDS... though we may have never met.. most know how many kids ya have.. what kind of stock ya run.. what kind of dogs ya have (and how many) .. and Heaven forbid, most folks knew I had a potbellied pig named Petals.. ( which has passed on to the Big Pig Lot in the Sky by the way.. )
There was a time when friends came together to help out friends.. to celebrate in a birth, and to mourn the passing of a loved one...
Times have changed.. but not our hearts... Stop by,leave a message here or in one of the chats... don't just enter and exit.. leave us a message.. let us know you are okay.. tell us if you need a prayer or a positive thought..
I work an odd shift these days... never have a definite time I am in the chat, but almost ALWAYS check the chat even if it is empty and the message board.. leave your feedback.. even if you only enter the chat and find it empty... play us a song on the ole jukebox.. let us know your mood ... how your latest ride was? What fantastic find you came across? Who cares if it is only a sentence or two.. we miss ya and We DO care about you !!!
Even if no one is in the chat, tell us how your day was or you need to fill the water tank and will be back later... just keep in touch because you know what? ? ? ? Some of us really do still care ! ! ! !
