I'm the only dependable, automatic gate opener here...unless I have a passenger in the truck....

Maybe there will be some members that market or install auto openers and they can provide some factual informaion. From an emotional prospective, one of my very good friends sells and installs them and is in the Bowie area. He is one of the best fence builders I know but I would not recommend even a best friend to another friend when it comes to these gates. They seem to work great or lousy not much else inbetween. The installer is usually a contractor and it can be the best piece of equipment on the market but not work worth a damn because of how it is installed. I would make certain you have a good guarantee not only parts but service. I would get references for the contractor and for the product. I would want to see some of them in use. They are great to have if they work correctly. But if you come home one night afer casing calves til mid night and the dang thing won't let you in, its really a downer/

I want to have an automatic single gate opener installed on my front gate. I don't know anything about them. Can anyone give me some suggestions on what type to buy and if anyone can recommend a company to purchase and install it in the Weatherford area?
