rancher,,,most of the paste types have the same active ingredient,,ivermectin 1.87%,,why I tell customers to buy the cheapest in that form. There are a very few that will get the round worms, black gold and combo care are 2 that seem to do a good job there. most rotate between a ivermectin paste and the black gold. also if ya have enought to warrant, liquid invercide is cheaper yet then paste ivermectin.

Ok children, no fighting. I posted this because worming is so important to every horse owner and we each have information to share. I have my products and ways but can always learn something new and always eager for the chance to learn. Many know how important it is to worm but based on some recent comments I have heard, I suspect there are some that really don't realize what happens if you don't do this for your horse. Do it right and do it at the right times. So lets share.

any ivermectin with strongid or another wormer that covers bots and blood worms rotated every 30-45 days. If you keep you pastures and stalls clean then check with you vet do the do samples and you may not have to worm as often.

Rancher it is best to take a fecal sammple to the vet from time to time, this way you can see if you are useing the right product, as you maybe able to use other products at other times, more tapes are being seen in horses and not all products get tapes. The test is about the cost of 1 or 2 tubes of wormer and can help you mannage your herd better. Good luck ole hoss

It would be a service if those with some experience would let us know which product they have had the best luck with.
