This discussion reminds me of when I bought my first horse. The guy I bought it from told me, "You'll get lots of advice, Take the good and leave the bad." So I can get some good out of all of them. I really like Chris Cox, Clinton and Ryan Gingrich. Guess I'll have to watch the rerun of him and the paint. I didn't see him do anything wrong.

Julie we are very careful with where we store our x rated videos but we do hope you can come over here Memorial Day weekend and meet all of us. Like Vicky said, Evelyn ain't so much but that G Man is something special. Vicky is a sweetheart.

Jule, if you noticed, Rancher never did say what "it " was he was instructing me, Lisa & Shawn in....? Since it COULDN'T have been horsemanship, it had to be something along the lines of which calf to put where, or which gate to shut, or maybe which piece of chocolate cake he liked the best, all done of course, in the "cowboy way". LOL Rancher, I look forward to seeing that video next time I'm at the Circle G!!!!

Saw Clinton Anderson when he did his free tour thing in Redmond, Oregon last year. What fun! Very informative, easy to follow what he's doing and he'll do it over and over until everyone understands. No need to feel embarrassed if you feel the question in your head is a stupid one. He allows lots of time for questions and the one you had in your head will come up. Guaranteed. :-) Enjoyed it thoroughly and came away with some good information. His demos with Mindy and Diaz are something. And I don't know any gal who can resist that Aussie's humor, stories, accent and snappin' that whip while horseback. :-) What a doll. And he is there until the last autograph is signed and question answered. Take a notepad. Jule, you'll enjoy it and I'm sure you'll get a lot out of it. Don't miss a minute of it. I've only been to two others, Buck Brannaman, several years ago in Sisters, Oregon and Karen Scholl, Horsemanship for Women. Good stuff. Karen Scholl for relating to how females are raised differently and have difficulty at times with leadership. Quite enlightening.

Jule darlin, save your money, send me your address and I will send a video of me instructing Lisa, Vicky and Shawn how to do it the real cowboy way.

"A rank beginner would not do what he does in that film." Well, rancher, apparently ONE does!! :) I love RFD... watched a whole hour of Clinton Anderson the other night talking with Jim Babcock. At least there weren't any of those annoying ?'s!! lol The AQHA show on Wed night was the highlights of the NRHA finals. There's some great reminiscing about the "good old days" of rodeo announcing with Hadley Barrett & friends on All About Rodeo. I love the Vanishing Days of the Cowboy series! ANd there's the clinicians. So jule, you'd definitely enjoy it! :)

I missed Ryan Gingerich the other day... a girlfriend watched him and said about the same thing, said she could have done a better job w/that horse!!!! LOL And Liverpool is a long way from Australia, but who knows...? I would ever ask him that, but knowing your curious nature... Friends of mine who have the local indoor arena leased here, told me they called Chris Cox about putting on a clinic or demo, and he wanted $30,000 up front. Wow, I am in the wrong business! I knew I should have pursued a career in Natural Horsemanship! LOL

Well guys and gals this new to RFD Ryan Gingerich is not likely to be on long. If you have not watched him, his current thing is working with a paint mare. She is bolting and challenging him and he stands directly in front of the mare less than 3 feet. A rank beginner would not do what he does in that film.

It just may be I expect these guys to only address what I want to know. And it may be I am not the total of their market but I watched a Craig Cameron segment (is segment a good word here?) and he spent the whole time talking about where your hands should be when riding with split reins. Somehow I think he was stretching to fill up the time slot. I think Craig likes to hear his own voice. I still think Clinton Anderson should stop asking and answering his own questions. Although it was a few years ago, I remember a 5th grade teacher did that. Are you guys sure he is not from Liverpool?
