agree w/rancher.
my little blond skitzy just seems to draw confidence from her working duds--tiedown, breast collar, etc. kind of like a woman with a good undergarment i guess.

Agree with Juliebug, cariboumare provided some good information. Actually she talks like she should be from Texas.

as a horese trainer i have used tie downs for many reasons but mainly have used it for horses that 'overextend' head placement and throw themselves out of balance. some horses that use a tiedown all the time actually come to depend on it as a 5th balance point( i have tried to work these horses with out the tie down and have found them to somewhat clumsey, they trip or stumble and some have even fallen) horses are smart and they learn to use the tools we give them. if you want to check this thery out watch a tied horse in a trailer(if you can)many will plant their feet and lean back to help steady them on bumby roads or turns. in barrel racing this is the most common reason for a tiedown. in roping i am told it is more for head placement. when a header snaps tension on a rope over enthusiastic horses will throw there head too high some will even rear up this causes the horse to use his front end more than his hind quarters to pull back and 'set' the cow proper 'setting' of the cow should come from the hindquarters digging in kind of like a reining horse doing a sliding stop. head neck and back should be in a straight line to achive maximum balance and power. i'm sure other riders will have other views this is just a little knowledge offering from my corner of the world.

I haven't been able to find a link for the show online, Rancher. It looks like the next episode is Dec 29. In January, they will no longer air on RFD, but all shows will be available online according to the website www.tvhorsesource.com. Yes, Evelyn did a fantastic job promoting the mustangs! And Quigley was quite the gentleman!! :) I think I saw a real quick shot of you and Rika, but it flashed so quickly I couldn't tell for sure. Anyone else see the segment??

Runswith thanks for the heads up. We had our TIVO set to record it so we did get to watch this morning. Horse Souce is availiable on the internet and I will try but if anyone knows how to post a link to it, please do.
How do I say this...if you watch it you will get the distinct impression she thinks Mustangs are "wonderful". I think it was a good interview and wow, what a good lookin cowgirl. Quigley, the brat, even looked good.
